Covering all the Essentials of Reliability
The key emphasis for TUF Series motherboards lies in enabling prolonged use. The SABERTOOTH X58 can keep going round the clock with no pause thanks to its meticulous thermal design, which means heat and stress are not obstacles. This new thermal design revolves around CeraM!X Heatsink Coating Technology, using revolutionary ceramic application on vital motherboard surfaces and components to ensure unrivalled heat resistance and dissipation. Thus, it is the perfect choice for server functionality and extreme, steady reliability. CeraM!X application has never been done on a motherboard before the ASUS TUF Series entered service.

Reliability Tested to Military Grade
The SABERTOOTH X58 from ASUS uses heavy duty materials and parts to ensure truly unmatched capabilities in terms of stability, reliability, endurance, and value.
The chokes, solid state capacitors and MOSFETs have all been tested under the most arduous of conditions and harsh environments based on military standards, providing users with a proven heavy duty solution.

TUF Series motherboards are ruggedized from the ground up, so they can handle more than just long-haul usage and heat. They are also tested to server-grade standards and can stand up to humidity and ambient temperatures to an exponentially larger extent than normal motherboards. As a consequence, they are long-life products users can install with complete confidence.

Being strong does not mean TUF Series motherboards compromise added features. The SABERTOOTH X58 ships with new data transfer standards USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s, so it offers some of the latest innovations in addition to superior strength. It is a complete package of guaranteed reliability and compatibility.

Whats with all the quote of military grade and military specification and stuff? Do they not watch the news? All the military kit is crap n failing, or are they getting their ecuses in early? lol "Well we did warn you it might fail, there was that milspec description when you bought it" :p

I would find it really hard finding matching coonents for that board, it looks really drab and dull to me.

Me likes my shiny red ROG motherboard more :)

Nah man this boards is the business.

Managed to reach 4.5GHz on this beast, not recommended for 24/7 but had to get the extreme heat from somewhere!

The cooling is very effective better than the rampage 3, it actually keeps the northbridge under control and doesn't get ridiculously hot.

p6x58d-e is cheaper and better. And will still do the same clocks, and run just as cool.

False. "Better" in what way? The Sabertooth runs considerably cooler than most other X58 motherboards at the minute.

In essense they are very similar each with their different attributes but for the £7 difference between them. I'd opt for the Sabertooth.

Well what you have said about it, iv managed on my board. Depends on what you consider as cool running, as mines never gone over 47c even when being really pushed and that was in summer ambients, and is generally sub 40c.

Im not knocking the board, its nice to see another board in that price range, and not another stupidly priced £250+ one lol.

So much for it not coming out in the UK :D will their be limited stock?
I don't suppose you know if you can run both PCI-E lanes at full 16x whilst using the Sata/6Gb?? i know some boards can't. I like the look of it, but it would be hard to find RAM which will look good in it :(

We have 30 units coming in next friday and have already taken a lot of pre-orders. Not 100% about availability but if you want one before next weekend you will have to be quick!
Also you can run both PCIe lanes at 16x and SATA 6Gb/s no problem. Dominator RAM looks fairly swish in it. If you were feeling creative you could make your own stickers for that RAM with a "military" theme :P

I think it looks nice.
Not that I'm really bothered by the look of a motherboard, much more worried about functionality.
I don't think I've ever owned a PC Case with a proper window on it so what the inside of the PC looks like isn't really that important to me. This might be partly because I'm the only one that really sees my PCs and even then they're under a desk.

Still seems an odd time to bring out a 1366 motherboard now doesn't it? With the new chips and socket types just around the corner? Surely most people that would be in the market for a motherboard like this are the same people that are thinking about waiting for the new chips? In much the same way everyone is suggesting people wait for the new ATI 6000 series graphics cards before buying a new DX11 card.
