Hi,
I'm *still* trying to find a laptop for a family friend and I'm still concerned I'll spend his money in the wrong places... None the less, he wants me to decide...
I'm trying to find the best value laptop at approx £400 price, but I've found The Asus X5D1N at £450 and he'd be willing to go up to that price.
Checking around it seems *to me* to be a good specification for the price... Bu then I don't really know how to compare laptops... Too many laptops with too similar specifications at prices slightly higher and higher... For £20 extra I could get this... But £25 extra could get this... You get the idea!
So anyway, Asus X5D1N has the following specs:
Intel core 2 Duo T6600 2.1 GHz, 2MB cache CPU
4GB RAM
320GB HDD
nVidia G102M 512MB DDR2 VRAM GFX
15.6in (Resolution 1366 x 768)
DVD super multi dual layer
3 in 1 card reader, SD, MMC, MS
4 USB ports
1 Ethernet port
802.11 BGN wireless enabled
Altec Lansing SRS surround sound speaker and microphone
1.3MP webcam
Windows 7 Home Premium
~3 hours battery life.
I've found this at £450.
Can anybody in the know let me know how good a price this is? Should I be expecting more for this money? Or likewise, should I be able to find something similar to this for less?
Thank you very much!
