Ati 11.1a Hotfix coming today

I'm really looking forward to this, even if the performance is exactly the same it will be nice to have both cards being shown correctly in the CCC, hopefully.

The guy hasn't talked about NV drivers. So he can't have an opinion on when ati release drivers? Sometimes you get overly defensive when someone has a negative comment about amd.

I addressed his opinion of the drivers & his assumption that they are fixes for a released driver which they are not & the same would have went for an ATI user making that comment.

I also pointed out that because he is NV user he will not be up to speed in what is what with ATI drivers & is likely to be in error in understanding that Hot fix can mean many things when it comes to ATI drivers.

OMG Drivers are awesome...

I feel this benchmark will lose all cred with these drivers. :(

I didnt edit this in any way it is the actual score Heaven gave me but it isnt real.

My score in heaven dropped by about 30 and fps dropped about 2-3.

Not sure how this would translate into gaming but I might as well roll back and wait for the official ones.

Edit: Just noticed Afterburner didn't keep track of stats either on the graphs. Worked before but not now and also shows clocks at 0.

I will install and see what these are like.

so my scores are down a little bit but i am not sure if any default settings have changed between the 2 driver sets so i will keep running the 11.1a's and see if any problems crop up.

Maximus you need to click on preferences and choose the advanced option even though i dont have the word 'smoothvision HD' i do have the same options.

Here's my Heaven benchmark comparing the 10.12 and the 11.1 Beta drivers. My system specs are in my sig.

10.12

11.1 Beta

I like the new interface of the 11.1 driver but at the end of the day it's FPS that count so it's back to 10.12 for now ...

So, an increase of 221 in the graphics depot, but I am sceptical of this new "AMD Optimised" option, and the boost I got in test 2 and 3, which both use Tesselation.

I'm not 100%, but I do vaguely remember ATI did this before with a driver, where the default values were much lower than the previous drivers.

Either that or they genuinely have increased performance with the 69xx series with regards to tesselation, in that case, thank you :)
