wow most expensive gpu i've ever seen. gj ati, whats next?
ATI's price is ~£410 ($599+VAT).
But then again, their price for the HD 5870 and HD 5850 is also lower.
Just stock issues preventing us reaching a price closer to RRP.

I take it you never seen the asus mars 295's which were selling for over a grand?
So where are the active DP adapters so I can run Eyefinity?
Fatboy any response to this, we've asked about 10 times already in various threads?

Also the GTX 280 was $649 on release (followed by a prompt drop to $499 once the hd 48xx was released). Compared to $599 here.
its a collectors item that has never even been in stock. .
yeah sure gtx 280 was £450 max here.
Due to the very nice exchange rate at the time. Even then at $2/£1 rate combined with a 17.5% VAT rate, that's not much of a good price.

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2009/11/18/amd-ati-radeon-hd-5970-review/1They ARE NOT RAIDING 5850/5870 cores for 5970's, different production line at TSMC.
But at least learn what you're talking about when you decide to make a statement like that.
its a collectors item that has never even been in stock. dont try to spin this. paying £550 for a card that fermi will make obsolete in a couple of months is madness.

Trust me the prices are fair for the product. All our stock sold out in an hour maybe I pitched them a little cheap.

i wish i had someone to buy my 5870. lmao. i would sooo buy one of these.
