you are having a laugh arnt you ?
£500 for a graphics card is ridiculous.
Ridiculous price...
Nice card but I could never justify spending £500 on a graphics card.
I don't see what the issue is here. Your effectively getting TWO ultra high end video cards for £250 each, given the price of a single HD5870 at the moment I would say £250 is a steal.
happy as larry!Unfortunately there just isn't, so what you lot are buying them for I don't know.

its 12.5 inchs long D: i can only hold 11.8![]()
Think I'll be sticking with my 4890 for a while longer. Might even pop another one in later.
What games take advantage of this card a such a price?
That's what she said?
I imagine this is for people running 2+ monitors or at least a 30".
From what I've gleaned in reviews the performance of the 5970 matches 2x 5850s in CrossFire, and is beaten by 2x 5870s.
Considering that the 5970 is £520, and a 5850 can be had for £220, wouldn't it make more sense to buy 2x 5850s for a total of £440? Power consumption is also apparently lower with the CF 5850 setup.
this also allows for a half upgradeFrom what I've gleaned in reviews the performance of the 5970 matches 2x 5850s in CrossFire, and is beaten by 2x 5870s.

I've just read the page for Crysis. It doesn't even register an FPS when using 2560x1600 with 4xAA. LOLZ!
It can be overclocked easily. ITs been downclocked to stick to the 300w that the OEMs are happy with. It sports the full Cypress core at 1600 shaders each.
All in all, its better value but only for people who can actually afford and want to spend this kind of money on a graphics card.
