after the shambles of the 9.12's i sold my 5850

was only part the reason, couldnt justify a 5850 for tf2

Is it only some people that are having issues with ATi's drivers, or is everyone having problems?

I'm going to be buying a new graphics card in the next few months, but I've been seeing quite a lot of people having problems with these new ATi cards, so that's kinda putting me off buying one tbh.

a 4830 plays tf2 100+ (well 90ish) at 1680x1050 res...do u have a pentium -1?

lol, I've had problems on both nvidia and ati drivers before, I don't think it's fair to say that either set is better or worse.

Got a 5870 which has been running mighty fine since early December. I've had no problems with the 9.12s in either XP or W7.

Hope that I won't have to alt-tab from L4D2 every single time the map loads to get more than 30fps (4870X2, 9.12 + 9.12 hotfix didn't fix it).

crossfire bugs are fun, mine gets stuck at 70fps, so I don't notice on some maps. prefer constant 100+ though

Everything has always worked here with all drivers, must be user error
