***ATI Catalyst™ 10.10 WHQL***

so do we need to download the app version or just the plain simple verison

apparently the app version comes with open CL versus the old ones open GL

sorry i'm a total driver noon i couldn't even tell you what open gl/cl is lol
 
everything ok here no pink issue using a 5850 my benchmarks are up about 7-8% in some cases. avp bench seems to be flagging behind which was up from 47.8fps to 50.7fps

will do some gaming later and confirm but upto now looking good.

I'm guessing with the cold weather he's rooms a bit colder hence why temps were lower. That's why you should never benchmark temperature tests and quote absolute numbers and always use the Delta T method to eliminate the effect of room temperature.
 
To be honest fellas, it's going take a lot to get me back to buying ati cards. My last one was an atix1950PRO in which I had nothing but BSODs. That ati2dvag bug, which ATI couldn't be arsed to fix. Waste of money!

I think your looking for a problem that does not exist.

Now i can understand some people not liking the idle speed being higher when they use Overdrive but temps being different between software & different versions is a common place.

Are we going to moan when a new version of a CPU or GPU stress test uses more of the hardware & thus makes more heat.

If a new version of a driver uses more of the hardware then there will be more heat & the only other possible reason would be a different default fan profile.

It was ATi duties to focus all of its effort in fixing your problem when the majority did not have your problem.


lets hope that you never have a NV problem or you will be limited to Intel integrated.

Absolutely terrible that they didn't personally issue you with a fix. Despicable.
