ATI Catalyst™ version 10.7

I had the missing CCC a few releases ago and had to do a complete ATI removal and download the drivers from a different source

I also just remembered I have some Nvidia drivers installed for the physix hack which may be causing some of the clock issues on later drivers ?

Just installed 10.7a and now i don't have any issues with MW2, that i was having with 10.7, again happy AMD/ATI user :) I've got 700 points increase in 3dmark also, quite impressed!

Still can't get the CCC to launch with 10.7 or 10.7a. Ideas? Tried reinstalling them a few times now and no joy. The CCC is installed (supposedly) but doesn't start properly with my pc anymore even though its enabled in startup via msconfig lol

Isn't that usually the C++ distro being mucked up, try and get the latest version and make sure it's installed properly. CCC uses this but other programs can patch the C++ dll's to different versions.

10.7a are decent so far on TF2, none of the instability I had with the 10.6s. 2x5850.

Edit: Awful performance on Bad Company 2, I was struggling for playable frames and the second card was sitting at 27% load. I just can't see the point in crossfire anymore. Time to return to single gpu town.

Edit 2: First bluescreen. Back to 10.5a.

I was using an nvidia gt220 whist my 5870 was sent off so that might be the cause. Will get driver clean and do a safemode sweep of nvidia stuff

Hey Huddy,

Does it solve the dissapearing mineral issue/Invisible area's in the map? During the Beta, I couldn't play SC2 unless
a) I disabled Catalyst
b) I enabled a 16xAA in Catalyst.

Cheers,
sam

My old ATI driver issue is back. When you get to midnight, aero goes away, and I get loads of wierd lines flashing on the screen.

It does the same when starting/stopping flash videos.

10.6 and 10.7 do this for me. Back to 10.5a in the morning to see if it goes away.

Just experienced the exact same thing. This year started out well for ATI drivers, but since the start of summer the quality has been steadily going down hill.

I've even found myself looking at the 470's :O

I've not had this issue you mention above, the game is functioning fine on my 5850, but general performance from the latest drivers is questionable.

It's a wierd thing. I had it with the 10.2 drivers, but since then I haven't had it. Just 10.7 it seems to have returned.

Oh how I wish I'd spent the extra £150 and gone for an i7 920 D0 setup in october. :( Then SLI GTX460s would be on.

Because of RAM prices that £150 is more like £200 now though.

Lots of people (including me on my 5970) seem to be having bluescreen issues with 10.7. Install the driver and at reboot the system bluescreens every time. I've had to drop back to 10.5

The problem seems to be for multi GPU/XFire configs so far although no comment from ATI/AMD yet.

This was happening to me lastnight when I tried to upgrade the drivers. This morning with a clear head I used driversweeper first then installed them. No problems now. Xfired 4890 btw

You might need to install the .net framework

lalala this is why I dont use the ccc, dont need it, I just install the display drivers and the application profiles, done.

So now after removing all ATI drivers and s/w, running ATI **** cleaner, cleaning the registry and doing a fresh install of the Windows 7 Drivers I can reinstall 10.4 and 10.5 fine. Any attempt to install 10.7 or 10.7a Beta results in all the CCC stuff installing just fine except the driver, which fails every time (with no detail why it failed).

Think I'll give up on this for a while, I'm not the only one having this problem either so hopefully ATI will take a look before 10.8. For pretty much everything in the meantime 10.5 seem the best all round drivers.
