ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB for £205.57 Inc VAT (dont tell OcUK)

i didnt get any games with my retail x1900xt either so its not a real problem, the bundled games are usually tripe too.
£205 is agreat price as long as its in one piece and works :p

Ooooo Just ordered one!

Was debating on whether to go the extra mile over the X1800XT to the retail X1900XT and then I saw this thread!

:D :D

Bargin tastic!

you would be willing to pay over £200 for a 10% increase?
Actually it would only be another £55 more than the X1800XT and taking into account that i got £100 for my old card, it would only actually be a £105 upgrade :p

But i'm happy with my X1800XT so i'm sticking with it :)

there he goes again... :rolleyes:

its more than a 10% increase and he would easily get what he paid for his card on fleebay, hence it wouldnt be much extra to pay.

have a look at this

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/graphics/charts.html?modelx=33&model1=302&model2=299&chart=90

wow £105 gets you 1fps more definetely worth it and that is comparing an x1800xt with an x1900xtx

dont be daft, who the hell buys an X1800XT or X1900XT to play an old game like Call of duty 2 @ 1024X768

Based on X1800XT V X1900XT 1280X1024 full AA/AF:

AOE3 = 40% more fps
Quake = 10% more
Serious Sam 2 = 28%
and the real test for the future games comming is in 3Dmark 06

X1800XT avg score @ 1024X760 no AA/AF (stock 3D06 test) 2268
X1900XT avg score @ 1024X760 no AA/AF (stock 3D06 test) 3818

now basically what ive just proved above is that this mythical "10%" you keep quoting all over the place doesnt exist. in the odd game the X1800XT will even beat the X1900XT but as you can see, there is a lot more to be gained than a straight "10%" for the most part.

p.s. its an X1900XT, the clocks are identicle so im not sure why they called it an XTX, but a typing error would explain why they have 2 up there.

What do you actually get with this card as its OEM?

Do you get 2 DVI>VGA adapters?

I also assume theres no box, what is the warranty on this?

I'm very tempted, but won't have my new pci-e/conroe rig all bought/together for maybe another month and don't want to find out my bubble wrapped X1900 is knackered and warranty-less when I first fire it up

oh one more question ; is it the case that OEM cards don't clock as well as retail equivalents?
