For our honeymoon in September wife and I are visiting Miami > New York > A week Caribbean cruise > then either Atlanta or Philadelphia on our way home, has anyone been to these two places?
Which should we choose, is there any place very near these two we should consider?

Thanks.

Philadelphia has lots of history to it but you could probably do it in a couple of days, there's obviously Washington DC nearby if you fancy visiting some landmarks and museums. Never been to Atlanta but I don't know of anything there other than the Coke factory.

Yeah I've heard of the Coke Factory there, tbh we will only be there a couple of days so it's not going to be a long trip.

When I was flying to CA we stopped at Philladelphia. On the in flight entertainment they had a short video on the history of PA and how the government was founded there or something along those lines. I'm sure if that's true then there must be plenty of stuff to see :)

They had the Olympics in Atlanta for the same reason we're having ours in Stratford, East London.

Would you want to go on holiday to Stratford? :)

What a great argument, so what about Athens is that Greece's dump, or Sydney would you not want to visit there? Barcelona? L.A? Moscow? Montreal?

Comparing Atlanta to Stratford

So you agree Stratford is a dump? And will be after too :D

I like Philly. Been there 4 or 5 times. Not been to Atlanta.

Loads to do in and around Philly.

Atlanta is a bit boring - there is nothing to do downtown except the Coke place and the CNN Center. Go to Philly, you can always get on the Acela and have a day or two in Washington DC as well.
