Attained "dream" cars

S2000, Dc5, 205 Gti, dream cars? Lol seriously?

For me it would have to be something a bit more special but still Attainable, 993 RS, R34/R35 GTR, Audi R8.

Lol seriously? You poor bro? I'm picking up my Veyron next week, thought everyone had a few million tucked away for supercars?

Now where did I put my keys to my yacht...

:D

My dream cars aren't attainable at this point in my life, none of the cars I've owned have been what you'd call a dream car but I've had some nice ones.

I particularly loved my SC'd MX-5, the S 430 and for some reason the Alfa 159...

All my wants are from Gran Turismo 1

3000GT (first car I ever drove :D)
DC2
96 Viper GTS
MX5
300ZX

Any form of Viper would be pretty epic.

What are the 3000GTs like? The general opinion appears to be of an overweight car with electrical problems.

My obtainable wishlist would be:
EVO 6 TME
Impreza WR1
Impreza P1 or the Jap import equivalant
E46 M3 (perhaps an E36 too)
S2000 (I own an EP3 so I'm used to "vtec yo")
350Z (370Z a bit too rich for me at the moment)
Z3M
Z4M

Considerations:
Porsche Boxster 3.2S
Monaro
E39 M5
GT86 thing when it is half its price in three years and "gary boy" additions are available.

This thread is driving my OCD wild.

READ THE OP!!!!!

He isn't asking how many of you wish you had a Veyron.

To be fair the OP does mention a TVR he would like to own... I read that as a "realistic" dream he could own.

6 weeks ago, I picked this up:

911 turbo with X50 performance upgrades. It's got the full carbon pack, aero kit and is immaculate - the previous owner spent tens of thousands of pounds keeping it so. It quite literally corners like a housefly, it sounds extremely loud above 4000rpm and accelerates like you wouldn't believe.

I've idolised various models of these since I was about 8 years old. I've worked b****y hard, but always assumed they were unattainable until curiosity got the better of me a while back. I know there's all that stuff said about meeting your heroes but give it a go. To say I'm chuffed with it is an epic understatement.

PS: Excuse the poor pic - the only time it gets to stand still at the moment is when I'm giving it a quick wash :)

I have ticked a couple of cars off my dream list so far. Neither of them disappointed.

VW Golf GTI Mk1
Mazda RX7

Still got a few more cheap ones I will own, even if it's only for a few months.

Wow, very nice Funex, you changed from an SL500 didnt you?

I did, sort of still got the SL actually, although hopefully a sale will be going through very soon.

I'll definitely miss the convertible, V8-ness of the Merc, and it's ability to cover large distances with ease. I even miss the auto gearbox sometimes, although my atrophied left leg and left arm are recovering nicely! So, goodbye old friend, you were exactly what I needed at the time, but just not quite involving enough...
