Audi A3 1.6TDi S-Line Review

I'm getting new pads, new fog light, 4 new suspension legs (they are tired) and MAYBE a new front diff.....which will make the 2.5K a 'bit' more I suspect. The pads I have supplied myself, a saving of £150 but it also needs new front tyres, rear tyres and then a full suspension alignment, which is next week. Seems pointless buying a new daily car so will get it 'newed' and run it into the ground.

Ring those people that were trying to nick it before, i feel a claim coming on :D

The 1.6 tdi isn't as bad as you'd expect. Yes, it's pretty rubbish and in comparison to an rs4, it much be unbearable. But it is better than the old 1.9.

The non S-line (devoid of any spec suffixes whatsoever) one at work which might end up being mine is pretty quiet at speed - guessing the road noise thing is an s-line feature.

You just say that because your going to get one :p

Might get one.

Honestly, you see 1.6tdi on the back and you expect it to be totally unuseable. It's no worse than a smaller petrol - it feels more effortless than my 1.8 accord for example.

Yes, it's rubbish, but it does a job and isn't as bad as you might expect

IT'S WERE!
