Audi A4 1.8T Quattro

From memory the front of the A4 has exactly the same control arm setup as my Passat, it's a total nightmare to work with / change and it's not a cheap job to do either.

Rear of the Quattro is fully independant irrc, so it's also going to be interesting to replace (price wise).

I did a full front end refresh at 90k, totally changed the cars feel on the road.

you look at the rear and then ROFL. the arms werent even straight and there were arms everywhere

cost wise id recon its the same as the front.

and then you have to consider rear diff mounts blah blah blah

Just checked it out, lolz, i got the best quality front control arm kit i could find, it cost something like £345 for the parts, then lots of swearing cutting and heating to get things to fit, fitted you could be looking at £600 - £700 with alignment i think.

We had an avant 1.9tdi on a v (facelift)

Wife ran if for three years and all it cost was routine servicing sold it on 2 years ago and as far as I know it's still running fine

As above suspension is expensive - very expensive and complicated setup
