Audi owners in here!

I like the white. None of the other colours took my fancy. Also all the others for sale had a chrome surround around the windows which I am not keen on.

Picked it up tonight, I'm very pleased.

It's a 2009 A5 with nav - can the HDD be upgraded? The 10GB or so left over isn't a great amount and I don't want to keep moving my iPod classic between my S2000 and the A5 all the time, I'd rather just have all the music on the A5's HDD.

Got thoroughly warned off petrol A5's by the specialist centre I take my A3 to. Apparently they have them in for rebuilds way too often and they consume ridiculous amounts of oil; Can't remember any specific reason.

Anyone had any experience with this?

How much does something like that set you back Chris? Nice looking motor.

I paid a little over £18k. Dealers are shifting my spec car with the same mileage for £21k+. 3.0 TDI's are hard to find.

I think that'll be the TFSI engine.

I've done 6000km since I bought the S3 and I totally forgot to check the oil until waiting for a ferry this afternoon. It's at the minimum, so that's 1litre over 6000km which doesn't seem too bad?

Either way, doesn't the DIS normally have a CHECK OIL light?
What oil should I use for the 2.0TFSI ?

It does have one, when it comes on it will take 1L min to max. It should take 5w30 504/507 spec oil I generally use Mobil 1 as my engine uses less oil with this rather than the factory supplied Castrol Edge, it also works out cheaper as you can get it in 5L bottles compared to 4L for Castrol Edge.

Did you get all the noises the engine was making sorted ?

You must've caught it just before the light came on. Be glad you did, once the light comes on it takes forever to go back off again...no idea how to reset it... It came on before I had the turbo replaced and took about a week to go off.

It's getting a new AC compressor fitted on Monday. Might ask the to change the aux belt and tensioner while they're at it.

Just took it to a jet wash and a tiny windscreen crack has now turned into the whole windscreen

It came on just as I turned into my friend's road. Went to a local petrol station immediately (1am) and stuck in a litre of Shell Helix 5W30 504.00 and the light has gone.

Extremely close call! I hadn't realised I had driven 5k :o

Traction control to the rescue today. I got a little brave coming off a roundabout and the rear end completely gave way. Just before I started dialling in a little bit of oppo lock (I'm used to it in the S2000) I saw an amber light flash up and it straightened the car out before I had chance to react. :D

Turns out the rear tyres are right on the wear indicators. Luckily they're being changed at 10am tomorrow.

Thought I'd post some raw footage from my track day at Blyton Park last Sunday. Weather was perfect, not as hot as last year so oil temperatures were a little lower.

Last year my brakes let me down and I could not stay out as long but now with better brakes my tyres were now the weak point. Either way it was a good day and I made quite a few mistakes. The videos unfortunately make it seem like I am driving like my grandparents!

I have a few more videos to upload but it's taken me two days to upload the two below!

Looks like great fun Xez.

You are right the interior shot does make it look a bit of a leisurely drive :D

Was it a gopro you used for inside and out?

Wouldnt mind having a bash at something like that myself - how do you get to hear about these days?

Yeah we used my friends GoPro Hero 3 BE and I'm pretty impressed by the quality. The camera was mounted in it's plastic case so sound wise it isn't great and I was really expecting it to be quite load as my exhaust is a non resonated system.

One thing I did find really annoyed way the seats! Sliding around everywhere and I kept having to adjust back into a good position but RS4 buckets are a tad expensive and they attract the wrong attention...

My dad made the mount for the inside, it's a aluminium bar where the headrest slots through. Outside it was a suction mount tethered to an adhesive mount as Blyton Park is quite strict.

The event was organised by a garage I get my car serviced at, they did it last year also. Great day over all but this year there were some people who just wouldn't let people past. They will probably be doing the same next year maybe even at a different track. I only do the one track day per year in my car due to the cost or potential cost if something breaks!
