Fox, good call, heard a few people mention the GTI is more nimble due to not having that big V6 lump, I'm trying to find a one for a test drive.

A3 is tempting, but the looks are a turn off for me

I wanted to test drive an A3 3.2 a few years back and my local Audi did a search and found something stupid like 6 for sale in the Audi network in the UK.

Apparently mega rare?

Really? Seen lots for sale on forums recently, they impossible to sell because no one wants a v6 hatch, so have become dirt cheap.

Maybe people are selling now, 3 years ago when I was looking Audi couldn't get me one to drive and the nearest from an Audi dealer was like 100 miles away.

Yeah, that was how I ended up driving the S3 in the first place, was offered a drive in that instead of the 3.2 as no garage had a 3.2 in...
