Audigy 2 vs Supreme FX 2 X-Fi

Hi,

Consider me well out of the loop as far as sound cards go as I have not bought a dedicated sound card for over 10 years as motherboard sounds / included daughter cards seemed to be fit for the task.

Question is I recently bought a PC off MM with an Audigy 2 (SB0240) sound card, is it any good for modern games / music etc? or am I better off keeping my Supreme FX2 X-fi (R2E) or my Supreme FX2 (BFSE) respectively.

Audigy 2 were good in their day but the (cut down) x-fi supreme is superior.
