TBH though if the title read

"Unsociable neighbour fined for constantly yodling"

then this thread probably woundn't be here... I essence this could be exactly what it is.

Was the lawnmower at their prayer time not also annoying and antisocial, i'm assuming it's a petrol motor one which do make a fair old racket at the best of times.

If that's true, and the fine was issued due to 'offense being caused' and not some sort of fine for disrupting the peace, then that is indeed, ridiculous.

If we're going to allow the use of that stupid word 'offensive', then I find the practices of infibulation, genital mutilation, the repression of femininity and various other things incalculably offensive on a number of different levels.

I've since started listening to some yodelling on youtube. It makes me smile constantly. It's incredible! That'd be the most amusing way to wake up in the morning.
