Got an assignment due in on Wednesday (really must stop processing and start writing!), but thought I'd share a couple of the shots I was using with you guys.

Took this a few weeks ago at Padley Gorge in the Peaks. I was generally disappointed with most of the shots I took on that trip, but having come back to them this is one of a few I now quite like.

And this one was taken yesterday in the Nottingham green belt, underneath one of the best-proportioned oak trees I've ever seen.

Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated as always (especially if it provides procrastination opportunities!).

The first is brilliant, really like the effect, presuming you used some filters, would be nice to know what they were, also the second I think a little sharpenning would work well I think. Good work :)

The first was using nothing but a CPL to reduce light and remove reflections on the water. I've already fiddled with the second one a bit, increased contrast and sharpening, will update it presently

Yeah thanks, it always amazes me when I miss things as obvious as that!

It's when you use such a small aperture that you realise just how disgustingly dirty your sensor is.:p

The first shot is beautiful, just the right exposure length.:)

Second one i'm not too sure about the sky, it looks a bit blown out?
