Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - SPOILER FREE DISCUSSION - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, STARMUNCH!

No one can when he’s got the infinity gauntlet*

Adam Warlock defeats him by tricking him in to removing the gauntlet.

*Excluding “The One Above All” who is essentially God in the comics. Fun fact, he takes the form of Jack Kirby and is shown actually drawing stories in some stories.

The Beyonders or Beyonders can even with the Infinity Gauntlet. Currently Thanos has killed everybody worthy of killing in the comics without the Infinity Gauntlet. He's killed Galactus, Odin and is using the Hulk as his pet dog. The only surviving hero left is some variation of the Silver Sufer who has just gained the ability to use Mjoliner.

Can captain marvel defeat Thanos?
Depends on what is ment by defeat. In terms of power and abilities, no. In the comics Thanos is near power incarnate and is one of two beings who are not influenced by cause and effect. The other being Adam Warlock who in a separate time-line became the Living Tribunal aided by Thanos. It's quite ironic Thanos has saved the Universe more times than he has conquered and destroyed it.

Good video explaining where the infinity stones are currently.

Thats a great summary because after 10 years I was struggling with trying to remember where they all were. The only one I could remember clearly was the one stuck in the Vision's head.

Captain america
It looks absolutely fantastic! I’m really looking forward to it even more now.

This will easily be the highest grossing Marvel film they’ve made...perhaps one of the highest grossing films ever made also!

Isnt it already the highest grossing movie on pre-orders alone :)

Just saw an interview from the Russo Brothers that the big risk they took on this was having Thanos as the central character and telling the story mainly from his point of view.

Well if there's one main gripe with Marvel films, it's their villains. Hopefully this won't be the case for IW.

Would make a change, its not as if people are clueless to who the Avengers are so focusing on the bad guy for once might make for a more interesting movie.

Interesting theory floating around. Has Marvel been clever, or has someone just found something that isn’t there?

I present the THANOS theory...

T - tesseract (space)

H - heart-shaped herb (soul)

A - aether (reality)

N - necklace (time)

O - orb (power)

S - sceptre (mind)
