Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - SPOILER FREE DISCUSSION - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, STARMUNCH!

Simply because the movie is unlikely to be anything like a true reflection of what goes on in the comics. They have already changed his motivation for trying to wipe out half the Universe. The list goes on :Ego claimed he was a Celestial and yet was created by the Stranger. There is no adam Warlock, and so on. I at least hope it's not going to be as bad as I expect it to be.

But it's not a film version of the comics. How has it taken 19 films for you to realise that

It's not taken me 19 movies to realise that. I just preferred the consistency of character and story development with regards to Thanos in the comics. All this movie is doing is dumbing it down.I'll decide whether it's just as good, worse or even better when I've seen the movie.

Then just read the comics again and don't watch the films if you don't like them :/

I was thinking about Infinity War the other day and we know that Thanos is the big bad, and I thought wouldn't it be cool if Red Skull was a twist bad guy. We see him disappear but not necessarily die at the end of Cap 1 and the infinity stones are going to get messed around with, so why couldn't he be trapped in the Tesseract and be released and empowered. Rather than an external threat being the finale a very human one and one of the oldest villains in the MCU.

I'm aware that early scripts for Avengers had Red Skull as a bad guy but this was dropped, given that he represents most of what is bad about humanity wouldn't he make a great villain, just when you think you've won there is a final challenge with a much more human dimension.

Captain America 'catching' Thanos punch.....seconds before he dies I reckon

Though Thanos only seems to have the Power and Space infinity stones on his glove at that point.

I think that clip is a tad misleading as Cap wouldn't be able to hold Thanos off without the power stone let alone with that and the space stone. It might be even Caps death scene not that i want him to die but its going to happen i think.

I've not been that fussed about the previous Avengers films, but that has got me very excited. That looks immense
