Can anyone tell me what the average UK annual mileage is for drivers of cars?

Closer to 12-15k

New cars on average travel 15,000 miles in their first year.

12k p/a after that

question is for drivers of cars, not mileage covered by cars.

I love high mileage cars - it means I can get them cheaper.
Tomorrow I'm picking up a 51 Reg 1.8 Mondeo Estate for £1500 because its got 114,000 on the clock.

I took it for a run and I couldn't believe he was selling it so cheap.
I asked why and he said nobody wants it because of the mileage so he had to reduce it.
With the amount of miles I do I will bring it back to normal in 3 years.

Brilliant, isn't it? It's probably in better nick than a £4000 50,000 mile example that spends every day carting the kids to school and back through traffic as well.

I can't think of a better value car for £2500 let alone £1500.
