I have a powercolor 5870 this model infact, powercolor are simply non existence when it comes to RMA within the UK,ive been ignored in mails and there seems to be a complete lack of RMA support to the UK.
I will never ever be buying there products ever again, the warranty offered on there products mean nothing, simply shocking.

One good thing though,Superb Card and price compared to other Etailers

too expensive. they are £309 right now and in stock.
Hardly a fair comparison! Want to take a chance on paying an extra £46 + £8 handling charge from Royal Mail, don't know how they can get away with it!!! :p

There are some in stock for that amount but From their Ts&Cs:

If your delivery address is outside of Jersey, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country;**** advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information.

Jersey is part of EU no? Therefore no charges. Besides, they have a warehouse in England my friend works for them.

And yes its fair!

seen... thanks for that, but still means no tax right?. I've always purchased from them and never had problems with import tax.

"Many Channel Islands companies are part of a ‘VAT pre-payment’ scheme. This means you will be asked to pay import VAT if the value of the goods is over €22 (£18) at the time you pay for the goods. In this case you will not have to pay any additional costs when you receive your goods."

I guess that means you don't need to pay the vat!

They'll go because in reality supply is still not going to magical appear, esp not over Xmas.

True they will go but not until the current stock available elsewhere has also gone, which are selling for £40 less, thats a sizable mark-up OcUK has on these cards, especially now they are no longer the only ones with stock at a sub £350 price range.

One place has them, I've checked around since I was looking for one around £300 mark most other places that do have stock seem to be charging same amount as OCUK or more.

You have been lucky, were the goods declared properly? Loopholes and tax are intertwined ... below £18 all is well legally but above that goods are subject to VAT on import into the UK. They are selling unfairly into the UK market as they do not have to charge VAT! However, you may be charged, and other people have been charged. Do you feel lucky punk - well do you :p

Ive bought loads of stuff from the etailer talked about and never had any problems, and as they are £40 Cheaper its definately the best bet. I dont really see how you can justify selling these things at such an expensive price ...

True, because millions of parents worldwide are buying their kids graphics cards from retailers to stick under the tree....... I don't think so.

A computer might be a gift people will give each other, but the number of people who would buy other people specific components as xmas presents is, well, almost non existant. In other words graphics cards aren't a high selling xmas pressie item, therefore xmas really has smeg all impact on their supply.
