Awaiting receipt of parcel ??

DPD destroyed one motherboard that they were supposed to be delivering. Why do you expect competence from them the next day?

It's possible your board will arrive without incident tomorrow, but I wouldn't take a day off work hoping for it.

Stop scaremongering.

It's almost certain the motherboard will arrive without damage.

If DPD were constantly damaging deliveries then OcUK wouldn't be using them.

Out of the many thousands of parcels OcUK send out via DPD you rarely hear anything on the forum of items arriving damaged.

Yes, at least once as I remember being annoyed as it didn't look like I would get when expected.
Woke up to find it had updated and had the text message with the delivery slot:)

Fingers crossed, it should be OK for you too!

Scaremongering would be this...
Whoever at DPD crushed the board is likely to have been criticized by his manager. The same guy may be delivering to the same area the next day. The new motherboard box will strongly resemble the old motherboard box. So the probability of there being an issue with the second delivery to the OP is greater than the probability of there being an issue with an unrelated delivery.

Sound advice is to value a day at work more highly than a motherboard delivery. If you're not in, DPD have a range of options. It might be left with a neighbour, who is unlikely to rip you off given DPD know that's where the box was left. It might be abandoned outside, A competitors preferred couriers are keen on this choice. I get home to missing boxes or very wet boxes. The most likely thing for DPD to do is drop it off at the nearest post office, where it can be collected at your convenience.

Whenever I have the good fortune that an item isn't abandoned in the street, it ends up at the post office. Going to the post office after work is a better choice than taking a day off work.

We have shipped out several thousand orders yesterday. - Safe to say that majority of those orders will get delivered today. :)

Best time to track the parcel is around 9am as they give you the time of the delivery, that way you do not have to wait around all day for the parcel. :)
