Back from Europe

As someone who has made a similar road trip in a much less awesome car (MX-5), trust me when I say that you will never forget it.. :D

I drove direct to Barcelona though, but came back the same why as you did.. fantastic trip
 
Nice.

I want to do something like this one day, how comfortable is the DB9, I keep hearing people saying it's the perfect car to do road trips and long cruises, how did it fair?

It was spectacular. Didn't have any issues over all kinds of different ground and it has the power and comfort to be happy with whatever roads you choose to travel on. The seats are amazingly comfortable even for me at 6'5". Suspension is supple and forgiving over the bumps and it has an excellent driving position. Cruise control and all the other toys, window wipers that actually work at very high speeds, range is good at 350-400 miles to tank etc. Especially since I got an iPod and Bluetooth adapter fitted (subtly ofcourse :)), it's a great place to be.

It just ate the miles up and asked for more at the end.
 
My girlfriends parents have a villa near Torrievieja too, nice wee place although there's barely any Spanish folk there! Its full of British/German/Norwegians etc who own holiday homes.

Exactly. My parent's neighbours are German and they're friends with plenty of Irish, Polish, Swedish etc. Not many Spanish people or culture there which some people find a shame but it's what they wanted and they're very happy so who am I to argue :)

Tell me about it, you can road trip pretty much anywhere within a 12 hour flight of the UK for the same as a road trip around Europe. Which is why none of my road trips so far have been Europe but then we are missing out on some fantastis scenery close to home because of it...
 
Eurotrips have to be one of my favourite forms of holiday. Just because it's closer, doesn't mean it's worse value for money.

IMO there is a lot more interesting stuff to see on a euro road trip than a US one.
