After playing for 20 minutes I think if a few friends pick this up, so will I. It's a shiny L4D that you can now ADS

Yeah it's not too bad, plays fairly well. Will need to spend a little more time on it really to make up my mind!

£50 for the base edition? Does anyone find that a little rich for the type of game it is?

That's the issue I have with it. It's just a fancy new version but still like for like. I bet that's due to WB publishing it.

It's fun, love the gun play, lighting, maps but it's not £50 fun. Will get my time out of the beta though.

I love l4d/WWZ and I don't know how best to describe b4b other than as a massive disappointment.

Where does it fail in your opinion?

Weapon models look oversized and off
Weapon feel/sound is quite joyless. Doesn't matter if it's gun/melee/grenade, they lack heft.
    Lack of ammo
Utterly useless AI (bots and mobs)
    Dull and basic level layout
Boss type mob spawns in fog, instantly KO's 2 people - don't have the firepower to kill it, 1 person ran past and it despawned
Blood and enemy models look average at best

l4d was 2008? Over 13 years of amazing community ideas to pull from, and this is what we get for £50? It's a joke.

Anyway, this is just my thoughts after a short play session with a few mates. I'd love to be totally wrong on full release but not a single aspect of what I saw gives me hope.

Sorry all doom and gloom, hope it's a different experience for everyone looking forward to it.

Played a bit tonight, a big meh from me, weapons take up half the screen, the sound seems really good however. Every weapon just feels the same, it just isn't exciting, I could play Left 4 Dead and have a better experience for a couple of quid!!

£50 for this would be ridiculous, it's £20 max.

Played a few hours this evening. Fun with friends, gunplay seems pretty satisfying and the gore is entertaining. However I'm still hesitant about the price tag, I would be happier with £30-35 I think.

Not impressed with this. Especially the horrid blurfest graphics even with AA off motion blur etc off.
