Backing up entire iTunes library

Anyone know how I do this?

I need to format my brothers computer, apparantly the songs are stored in My Music folder under the iTunes folders but they're not there. I've tried highlighting them all and copying but it seems to only copy half the songs across.

Anyone have any idea?

You're trying to copy them in Explorer or from iTunes? If they're not all in $USER\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music then he might have had some of them in other places. Try selecting the whole of the iTunes library and dragging them to the backup location.

Nevermind, half of the songs were in his Itunes folder and the rest dotted around in folders round his PC hence why it was only copying half of it from the direct Itunes location.

could you not just consolidate the libiray to the backup drive, then it would copy them all over, no need to search, thats what i do
