Backlight bleed questions on 'new' Dell 2005FPW

Hi guys,

I've just bought a Dell 2005FPW. In the box was a letter which said that it had been owned by somebody before and was returned. Now the monitor dosen't have any dead/lazy pixels. But I do notice area's with backlight bleed. So my questions are, can this be reduced so its negligible, can I return it because of this fault and would this be a probable reason it was returned in the first place?
And no I didn't know it would be a return I paid full price in the first place.

Do you have any expeirence in this matter? or does anyone else? I don't want to sound rude or confrontational, but I don't want to mess this up.

Thanks, I'll mail the retailer now and explain the situation, and report back when (if) I get a response.
