I've read a few times the Ballistix 5300C3/6400C4/8500C5 are built from exactly the same components but should I go for the 8500C5 anyway for piece of mind it'll actually do 1066 guarenteed?
That's what I was thinking as it's a big saving going for the 5300.
I'll be buying 8GB of it but I'd hate to go for it and find I really should have gone for the 8500 also I'm not even sure I should go for DDR2 as it might be worthwhile waiting a little while and go for the X48 and DDR3.
I probably wouldn't need to run it at 1066 but it'd be more futureproof and was also thinking DDR3 prices might come down a fair bit when X48 boards show up.
