Ballistix 6400C4 timings

finally got around to tweaking the overclocks again after a couple of small upgrades. one of wich was some Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz i.e. 2 packs of: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-090-CR&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813

iirc it's 4-4-4-12 at rated speed.

is it odd that if i set the ram to be anything over 800mhz, windows does not load when it's at 4-4-4-12? i know i can slacken them off but just asking

voltage is 2.25, is it worth sneaking it up a bit?

Have you bumped the mch voltage a notch yet?
(often needed for 4 sticks)

i'll have to check which one i changed, i think i bumped the chipset voltage, cant rememebr if that's the mch one, but thanks for the tip

Set the MCH voltage to +0.1v.

proba is the voltage only goes to 1.65 on my old version fo P5W Deluxe, on the later revisions it goes to 1.8 or so... hmphhh

i was really unstable at 320x11
but after changing to 400x9 (which i think is almost the same), the pc is much more stable :/

mine was the same to be honest anything over 800 and it blue screened, i slackened the timings and it was good never had any problems even at 950Mhz without bumping voltage up
