Always thought this should be two different awards , 1 for National & 1 for League

On a moderate to tiny budget I think Klopp should get it - for a smaller team, he has done fantastically well for last two seasons.

Not convinced about some of the names on that list but barely worthy of comment as we know the same names get rolled out every year from the big clubs.

The only defenders on that list are Pique and Ramos, I'd have thought Kompany should warrant a place too - did Balotelli really have a better season than him?

Di Matteo, LOL :) Not saying it wasn't a great achievement to lift the CL but the award is based on previous season so he was in charge for less than 3 months during the award period, during which time he amassed a worse win % in the league than AVB and finished lower in the league than they were under AVB.

While Messi and Ronaldo are quality players. What have they actually done in the past 12 months outside of La Liga? Neither one of them has done anything with their national teams recently?

Andres Iniesta for the win ;)

Ronaldo was pretty damn good at the Euro's.

Messi has been scoring plenty for Argentina including an outstanding hatrick vs Brazil.

Really? My recollection of the Euro's was the whole country saying how Ronaldo had failed to turn up after the first couple of games.

As for the award it has to go to Messi as he's the best player in the world, then Ronaldo then it's probably a toss up between Iniesta and Falcao (although RVP being voted the Player of the Year in the PL last season should surely put him up there as well especially if Falcao's being spoken about)

Would you still be putting Robin Van Persie up there if he was at Arsenal?

You've said, Messi, Ronaldo and then Iniesta/Falcao or Robin Van Persie?

I'm pretty sure Ronaldo was joint top goal scorer at the Euros as well as having the most shots on and off target.

It should be between Messi, Ronaldo and Iniesta for me.
