I've struggled with the title - it was almost 'Bands you wish more people liked' but that might prompt people to say that they didn't want more people at their gigs(!). Anyway, this thread is for bands who you wish more people had heard of, heard, and realised were/are as good as you already know!

The rules are: No more than two bands per person and no more than one song per band (so that's two bands, once song by each ok?)

I'll start off with Ezio. An amazing band who hail from my native Cambridge. They've seemingly been around for years yet I've only discovered them in the past year.

My second choice is a contender for a 'everyone knows a song by them but doesn't know it's by them' - Delays. I realise that they're not everyone's cup of tea given their style and the lead singer's vocal range but they have produced 3/4 fabulous albums in the past 8 years.

Goo Goo Dolls - US rock band. Relatively well known but I do think they should be better known in UK. I'd say they are about the best at what they do and would love to see more of them in the UK and MTV etc.
Have seen them live twice and they were fantastic! Their older punk-inspired stuff is my favourite.

Guy Buttery - this guy is an absolute guitar legend as far as I'm concerned. From South Africa and has recently won an SA Music Award. Lovely music to relax to, atmospheric and very impressive to see live!

Zico Chain. English rock band. Played download a couple of years ago, were on the first hammer magazine - get in the ring competition. For me they really should be bigger, seen them 6 times, hope the iminent new album gets them somewhere new. Still playing pubs and small clubs currently which is criminal.

Seen them live in Manchester last month and I must say that they are one of the best bands I have ever seen. They also bring something different to dubstep and they type of music they do, so passionate about it all as well. I have plans to see them again when possible. :)

Inevitably I'm going to put forward Shed Seven. :p Best band in the world as far as I'm concerned, still doing tours, and hopefully coming out with some new material soon (at the demand of fans!). Some of you will know the more famous tunes such as Going For Gold, Getting Better, Chasing Rainbows, Disco Down... but the following track has always been one of my favourites even though it's a bit more emo than their usual.

Enjoy. :)

Boom Boom Satellites, a few of the playstation and anime crowd will know them but it's amazed me they aren't huge as their style is very unique.

China Drum, criminally ignored band, they also did the best cover of a certain Kate Bush song ever..check em out.

Inevitably, I'm going to say Feeder. :p

It's always Buck Rogers or Just a Day, never anything else. :(

Next I'd have to say is John Frusciante, although not a band. Not many people seem to have heard of him despite the awesome music.

BT: only his album "This Binary Universe" interests me really, but it is incredible special.

Songs to check out: 1.618 (embedded below - listen to it the whole way through!), the internal locus, dynamic symmetry.

Andy mckee. He's pretty big with guitarists but his music is accessible for non-guitarists too so I think more should find out about him.

His biggest song, popularised by the internet..

Gotta be Cardiacs. Been going for over 20 years, but hardly anyone has heard of them even though they have been pretty influential.

Give the video a watch and you'll either have just found your new favourite band or you'll think they're the worst band ever to walk the earth....there usually isn't any middle ground.

Haven't heard these guys for a while now. Listened to them quite a lot when I was younger though, definitely going to source some of their music!

Lesser known tracks worth checking out on Spotify: You'll Never Take Me Alive, Around Your House, In Command, Patches, Hanging On The Outside... plus covers of Jumpin' Jack Flash and Wired For Sound amongst much other brilliance. If you can find it grab the album One Hand Clapping - was meant to be their fifth proper studio album but was released as an album of demos in 2004. Superb.

Nothing off Pushing the Senses should be mentioned in the same sentence as "good". That album was a travesty, I'm glad they've recovered from that with the last two albums.

Insomnia is the best Feeder track, great live as well.
