Bankruptcy need some advice

Hi not really the best first post but hey I need some advice.

I lost a job that was covering all my debt, two months ago I was Diagnosed with a illness

I am now struggling to find the money to cover the debt payments each month, I can't do IVA as I am not working and won't be for a while.

Has anyone been Bankrupt, I owe £35,000 on cards and a loan which I was paying without any fuss each month whilst working.

I don't have anything that shows I have spent £35,000 I've sold the car don't own a home live with parents. All my stuff I have sold on the bay just to find the money, I've not missed one payment on any of my debts

Any idea what will happen if I declare myself bankrupt when I show I have no assets what will happen?

Really need some advice from people whom can give some decent advice and not those whom just want to spam.

it's scary only now....£35k when I was working it was fine amazing how it just built up, as for the banks they have said there's not a problem as I've not missed a payment. they just don't understand

The illness is just as crazy as all this just woke up one morning right eye is blurred, could not see anything went into hospital told me I have Keratoconus disease of the cornea on the both eyes.

Glasses, lenses will not work been ( moorfields eye hospital ) so waiting on some cornea transplant's for my eyes will be out for maybe a year.

Looks like I should try CAB I am 27 life was going fine now all this

Payment Protection is on the card not the loan will give the card company a call, I should be covered

This illness is what has messed all my plans up, I was paying the debt without any hassle I best call the card company see if they can help.

My mind is a total mess in three month's Illness, out of work and Bankrupcy

Most of the debt happened when my father passed away. I live with my Mum as I didn't want to move out as she would be on her own.

Going CAB first thing in the morning, have called a few places they are all saying go bankrupt.....

No way will I ask my mum to take a loan on her house, it's my mess and I will have to take it on the chin.

Should I speak to a Bankrupcy lawyer to do the forms what will the judge ask me... just so scary the banks are going to be mad when I have nothing to give back.

The good part the card protection should be ok on 1 card @5k the bank is sending some forms but they seemed all ok about it.

Thanks you guys are great I would never take that even if it was done I have to learn the mistake that has got me here, My father said always face the problems that you make yourself.

Today spoken to CAB and they said they can help with a few thing's it would also be pointless for the banks to lower the payment's.

As for IVA nope can't do that as I don't work now, so what I knew is now the best was said by them Bankruptcy is the best idea. They gave me a number for futher help if needed

So I have been to my local court that was scary, and picked up the forms to go bankrupt, inside the brown envelope which hold the forms is going to be my new life a better life or harder life who know's.

Will start filling the forms in and take it from there need £475 which is the fee ( cash ) when I hand the forms back to them.

I'll keep you all posted how it goes, like I have said your good people I thought at first why post here with this, I was just a guy whom just passed by reading threads watching the famous Gilly with his advice.

Your help maybe words but just that has given me hope
