Bargain of a lifetime!

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that a small pawn shop/cash converters esque shop who bought that for £50 (or whatever) are fully aware of where it likely came from and wanted it shifted quickly for a straight profit.

Police do check CashConverters etc for stolen goods you know and an unscrupulous owner may well not be able to turn off a quick buck by buying stolen goods and shifting them quickly.

It's all very well saying that the pawn shop would have taken it to a computer shop, but for all they knew it could have been duff and this would have ended up costing them money. If they sold it for £100 and still made money on it, they are not losing sleep over it.

this

they may even of taken it to a computer shop and been asked to prove that its theirs , id like to think that most legit pc shops would do such things before removing the security. it would be like calling a locksmith out to someone else's house.

its also blatantly stolen which is another reason to get rid quick.
