Bass amp recommendations

Hi all,

I need to buy a bass combo for my wife to use for gigging in pub/club type situations mostly. Can anyone recommend something that doesn't cost too much, but will do the job?

I've got two Peavey Databass's and they are loud as hell. I play in a very loud rock band and my bassist uses one and he's only on number 3 on the volume. However, chances of finding one are hard.

i have a peavey TKO series, they are nice or even the TNT series, like 200 or something would sort you out for good!

Trace Elliot GP7-SM 150w can be had for under £300.

Ashdown's are pretty cool too, dunno the price range though.

Ashdown MAG series, i use a 2x10 MAG cab with a MAG300 cab and the tone is incredible, such a warm rich tone.

Have you made your choice?

Its my experience over the decades that music shops aren't like your local high street shops where they will sell you anything.
Go into your local music and tell them exactly what you want and they will come up with alternatives.
