Bought this on release but due to the lost of my saves i forgot about the game and played loads of others. Decided to go back to it about 2 days. About 5 mins ago i just finished this awesome game. I just loved it the storyline was brilliant it really felt like a dark knight story. The combat was well done and felt so fluid, especilally using my xbox controller.
If you havent got it, just get it now you wont be disappointed.

Welcome to 2009? :p

But having said that, I'm still stuck on it. I'm at the bit where you fight Bane, not sure how far this is through the game (not very I hope!) but I just can't do it! (playing on hard mode)

Just before Bane charges at you throw baterang to stun him. While he's stunned attack him and Batman will jump on his back and pull out a pipe from his back. Repeat another 2 times to beat him.

I can get a pipe out of him the first time, but then when joker sends in his men to aid Bane it just becomes that much more difficult.

Is this not just a button bash affair?

Well, you can, but you'll make life difficult for yourself. It's more about timing really, and is quite satisfying when you get a combo going.

Like the OP, only just played it myself after finally getting it in the Steam crimbo sale. Fantastic game - really looking forward to the next one now.

It was one of the best games I played last year. The only criticism would be it's a bit short though with the challenges and trying to find all the secrets there's probably 20 hours of play.

Awesome game, loved it and cant wait for the next one, played it through twice and only just finished the second play though.

Bane is easy compared to some others you'll have to face

When you're fighting Bane, try to keep on the diagonally opposite corner of the room to him.

This gives you plenty of time to finish your combo on the other henchmen, throw a batarang, and jump out of the way, for him to then smash into the wall and stun himself, and you can jump on his back.

And, this was the best game I've played in the last couple of years.

I played it through on Medium/Normal difficulty first time, and have logged about 12 hours on it. When I start playing it again (which I will!) I'm going to go for maximum difficulty, and will try to find all the secrets etc - I imagine that'll take me a good 20-30 hours :) So, plenty of game time to be had!
