Batman Reboot/JLA the movie Speculation

I find it funny how even though I know the writing in many DC titles is much more mature than Marvel, the whole JLA concept seems like something out of the CBeebies to me. It always looks so ridiculous in the comics, whereas as Avengers (or indeed most Marvel titles) crossover really well.

Civil War, Dark Reign and World War Hulk all had awesome crossovers.

Totally agree with you.

I was looking at the image on IGN for the re-boot story andw as just giggling to myself with Batman stood in his Bridget Jones' underwear.

I'm in the camp that cannot see this working. Again already mentioned is the fact that Marvel built upto the Avengers with Iron Man/Thor/Captain America films and it worked so well.

It's not something you can just rip off with your own characters.

Wonder Woman looks like Emily Deschanel from Bones:

If this is all going to go ahead (which it certainly seems like it is) I do hope they bring back Reynolds as Green Lantern, I reckon I must be the only person who enjoyed that film :o

I dont know if your the only person but i didnt like it.

Im sure a lot of us thought badly about Avengers and how that worked out. Now look at it. Id still watch this because Marvel/DC films bring out the inner Geek

I enjoyed Iron Man 1 not 2 I liked the Hulk With Ed Norton but Thor and Capt America sucked. The avengers was superb regardless of the poor intro films.

Some new news...

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/24/justice-league-movies-roster-revealed

"Several superheroes reportedly didn't make the cut for the lineup of characters to appear in Justice League of America, Warner Bros.' hoped-for answer to Marvel's The Avengers.

According to Latino-Review, the final five members of the onscreen JLA are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern.

Not making the cut are such JLA characters as Aquaman, Hawkman, and the Martian Manhunter, although the site claims there might be room for one or two cameos."

They have to reboot Batman to make him fit into a Justice League movie anyway. There is no room for magic and aliens in Nolan land.

Why not, just because of who made it you shouldn't ignore everything else.
Do it, expand on the current form so we don't need another yet again story of x super heroes life.

Then again, it depends how gritty and such superman will be and probably not at all so that'd make sense.. ufgh. They should've thought ahead maybe.

Everything depends on how well Man of Steel does.

That is what there saying now... guess we find out this year, id much rather have within the superman film drop hints of other heros or villians and perhaps after the end credits show a shadow of the batman....

Or better yet the martian manhunter... have him bring all of them together:)

I think Marvel did it right with all there films and the avengers...

Perhaps the reboot of batman continues the trend, I think JL movie as much as I want it tommorow it needs to be built up a lot more, maybe after superman/batman and another film or 2 appears.... let them tease it for 5 films even!

Not sure of Green lantern, didn't half of the good GL members fry and die in the 1st film ? I oddly found the film good also but it could have been done a lot more better!
