*** Battlefield 1 ***

My game keeps crashing after every round. Running 2 x 4gb GTX680. Did a DDU of the drivers then a clean install of the latest drivers.

DirectX Function “Dx11Renderer::tryMap” failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (“The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred.”). GPU: “NVIDIA GeForce GTX680”, Driver:37633. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 2gb

It's a bug mainly affecting the nVidia GTX 600 and 700 series cards but can affect others. No word of a fix from DICE. The only workable fix right now is to install a driver from 2014 mentioned in this forum:

I would try as a workaround using DX12.

Would be interesting to see who and with what cards people are actually using DX12 in this game?

DX11 feels a lot better than DX12 to me in this game.

It bothers me that DX12 doesn't work properly and would be nice to know why.

Does DX12 use more VRAM? Maybe my 970 cannot handle it due to the 3.5GB vram limitation. Only at 1200p tho.

Is anyone else seeing\hearing these random massive explosions when they initially join a game?

Not as such but sometimes I get things like the heavy tank guns seem 'stuck' in one place just continuously shooting and the tank has since long gone and is no where near the area.

Soviet & opethdisciple, thank you for your response. That link is really helpful Soviet. :)

No worries. :) It was affecting me too with my 770GTX so I installed the nVidia driver people have been recommending (334.89 I think?) and I've had no problems at all. Bear in mind the drivers might not be compatible with any newer games you might be playing though.

Hopefully DICE will pull their fingers out and sort it soon.

SLI's not fixed fully.

After a couple of games, the flickering text comes back - drop to home page and it sorts it though.

Have tried with 375.86 and the latest 376.19 drivers.

Got this recently and it's pretty fun.
Strange thing is, I've gotten every bf game so far and have hated all of them for the first few hours. After I've gotten acclimatised, I've then put in a lot of hours and enjoyed them immensely.
Same with this one ;)

Would be nice to join some semi-organized squads rather than with randoms who all seem to go in different directions. Only had one good squad so far and that was great fun.

Feel free to add me to Origin (though I'm not on that often and I'm pretty useless) if you like :D

Hey guys,

Just played my first go at BF1. Its awesome! But my question is do I enable DX12 for my 1060? Currently left it on 11..

Also im averaging between 80-140 ish range of FPS but not on ultra. Are those FPS reasonable enough??

stick to dx11 and those frames are more than reasonable for fun gaming :) why don't you whack it onto ultra and enjoy it in all its greatness, I get an average of 70fps on my modest setup maxed out on most maps

And probably many more.

Yep - was in-game the other day and watched a person on our side (called 'Lordfryz') doing exactly what that bloke was doing on the vid, he also showed as being in a tank when he wasn't.
Reported him (as did a few people) but he's still going. Checked on bf stats and it seems he cheats every few games.
