Battlefield 2 still popular?

Im a senior admin/server owner in a PR clan. *NwA* one of the busiest 64 man servers for PR. We also have a Bad Company 2 server. a lot of the lads also play on the Super@ Warlord Special Forces server. BF2 is still very much alive

If any of you want to play some PR or other Battlefield 2 versions/mods come and say high at www.nwa-clan.com and have a chat on our teamspeak server. PR can be overwhelming for a new player and we would be happy to help you through few games to find your feet. Not recruiting for the clan just happy to help new players.

Also the PR devs are about to release PR 0.95 which has added dynamic global lighting to the BF2 game engine also 3D rifle scopes among others

New version of pr released for friday, its like 6 gig big so they have it on torrent now

Already downloaded mine but having problems with BF2 on the machine. Screen goes black for a few seconds as if it's about to start but then just goes back to desktop.

Well this version isnt unlocked yet but are you on win7 ? Trying turning down windows graphics like aero peek

Ok, sometimes its just the config directory which is in my documents. Delete or mess around with that and it may help, sounds like a bad config

you need to edit the games config i reckon the game is trying to launch at 1024x768 @ 75hz or something like that realises your computer monitor cant do it and shuts down.

it was a common issue around the time bf2 was released for a lot of other games

Id be up for a game, i can always change one of teh TFU servers over to BF2.

Well I got it running but every time I try to join an online game I CTD straight after clicking. Strange though as I can load any map offline without a hitch :/
