I'll try this too.

I've played for 30-40 hours and it's consistently been a mess.
The last 2 times I've gone to play I've spent 20 mins in failed loading screens and quit the game and played something else.

This is NOT acceptable this far since launch.
It's actually getting worse as early on I was having fun on the basis it would get better/smoother.

I asked for a refund through app a few weeks ago and rejected so trying again through the link you provided.
Hate when they click the NOOOO button you can't appeal the decision and explain its not fit for purpose.

Ah well see what they say as bot expecting anything

The good thing with the link I provided is, you can keep trying, you need to wait at least 72hrs between submitting for a refund though. If you do it, let us know the verdict.

Playtime has nothing to do with being entitled or not to a refund(especially game like this in the state its in) for a start 35hrs in a multiplayer game is really not a lot, 5hrs of that is likely waiting on the loading screens waiting for a match, that game time was in the first 4 weeks as well, in that time since the game is still a buggy mess, no one is hardly playing it now, and seasonal content is delayed till summer.
You may not agree with it. I don't care, i'm happy I got my money back.

Good luck.

yes, just got my refund accepted and payed back, £80 payment back to my PayPal. Will have to remember to use the same options if it ever happens again. Thanks for the advice beachBOYken

:)

Oh great, pleased it worked.

Someone on another forum I mentioned it on also, got rejected, so it might just be luck who happens to look at the request.

Anyone else playing this on the most recent update? Loving this new map, shame it's only the one but the game feels great after the last 2 mega patches.

I've swapped to playing this game more regularly on PS5 than PC as I have a few friends from work who all have PS5's and prefer crossplay off - which is totally fair enough - and as a result I've just started mainly playing here even when playing solo.

The game feels like it's in a really good place on PS5 currently - and the playerbase of crossplay on PS5 is great! I'm in the midst of paternity leave so whilst our baby is napping in the middle of the day I jump on for a few games and I've not had a single game in the past few weeks that has had any bots. This is across Conquest, Exodus Conquest and Breakthrough - and playing at random times (10am, 1.30pm etc.)

Season 2 has been good as well! The mid-season update was great with the rework to Renewal and more Portal weapons in AOW are great. I had a few 'only in Battlefield' moments - including this absolute chaos at the end of a Breakthrough game on Renewal.

Definitely worth jumping back in and playing (and even going for crossplay off) if you previously played. Hopefully the playerbase sticks around even after MW2 launches.

I’ve had it uninstalled for a long time but might go back and have a look at some point if it’s as busy on ps5 as you say. Last time I played it was dead and pretty much all bots.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find games with crossplay off!

Portal is still a no-go with cross play off but regular AOW was fine on all modes.

I tried cross play off on series x the other day and the game was dead. With it on I tend to get absolutely annihilated by PC players. I don't understand why they never added mouse and keyboard for console players using cross play, massive oversight.

Friend of mine on PS5 said the game was good with it off a while back.

May consider picking it up.

It’s almost impossible to get into games on series x with Crossplay off. I’ve given up trying, loaded up Battlefield 1 and was into a game in seconds.

Do you reckon that's because the ability for crossplay to be switched off was added later to the Xbox version of the game? Whereas it was in the PS5 version as standard right from the start?

There's probably a lot of the regular playerbase on Xbox that never realised you can now switch it off and so are always in the regular crossplay lobbies.

I read it’s been broken since the beta on Series X ?
It did work for a period of time and you could find games. The other alternative is to turn off cross play in xbox system settings, but I don't know if that'll make a difference here. Plus it gets annoying turning on/off for other games.

I tried that and it makes no difference. You just end up in a game on your own waiting for players. Apparently it does that to everybody for some reason.

I turned on Cross Play tried a couple of games and have not touched it since. It seems likely it will never be fixed now….
