Just bought this game via Origin. Now origin just happens to be offline and can`t download the game. Anyone else having this problem? First time buying a game on release, usually wait for pirate and if any good, will buy it.

over 30K in comments and nearly a million views, what does this tell you ?

BF3 is your new girlfriend!

Tried just re-starting Origin? It seems hit and miss at the moment.

My favourite issue currently is everytime I load up Origin, it tries to update Battlefield 3 for no apparent reason and if I leave it to, once the update has been downloaded the game will stay on "Ready to Install" and wont actually install.. ever.

Worrying as I've had this with both the Alpha & Beta.

Only way around it was to d/l the whole thing again.

Hi I don’t post much yet as I only recently registered :)

I have a server which I have setup to be similar to Battlefield 2 settings and I didn’t know if anyone was interested in trying it out, I have set it up so that you can start playing with less than 8 players on so you can have some time to explore the map with less people.

Here is the server info

I might change some settings if it doesn’t work well and i will make the server run the Back to Karkand map pack when available.

I also got a clansite with the server which has some more info on
http://bf3hc.clanservers.com/index.html

The game is epic and I have played in the TFU server and I got my first knife death in it :p

Anyone got a fix for the high mouse sens while in a vehicle? Lowering it on the fly is getting me killed when I forget to put it back up and cant turn around

WTF was with that Jet Mission? I dunno if theres some kind of triple screen bug but i got zero prompts or keys to hit for anything. Being told to check this and that, change to themal optics, never got told how to do any of it, just random keyboard mashing.

Jet mission was amazing, they ask you check left and right flaps, so using your mouse look at the left and right wing.

Thats what I had to do last night!

Then I came across a thread which allowed you to fool Origin into thinking you had re-downloaded it again.

You rename the Battlefield 3 folder in your Origin Games folder to something random, uninstall Origin, then reinstall Origin. Go to download Battlefield 3 as normal and let it begin the download. Once it's started, close down Origin completely, open up your old Battlefield 3 folder which you renamed and copy and paste all the files over to the newly created Battlefield 3 folder. Start Origin, click the download arrow and touch wood, it should only have to download like 0.1% and then install :)

Do you install to directory that isn't C:\Program Files (x86)\ ? I had a problem with BC2 because i was installing to D:\Game\Origin\

Basically i couldn't install the game without copying the installation files to the root of the drive, and then installing it manually into the location where Origin thinks it is... following this but adapted for my drive setup (games etc not on SSD (C) -- http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/7277772.page

I browsed forums and found this solution, it works for me with Origin! And it appears that root cause is long name for installation, which Origin apparently cannot handle.

1) Browse to:
64bit OS: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2 Digital Deluxe Edition
32bit OS: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2 Digital Deluxe Edition

2) Select all -> right click -> Cut.

3) Go to the root of your drive (e.g. C:\) right click -> New Folder (I called mine BFBC2)

4) Go into the folder you created, right click -> Paste.

5) Browse to __Installer\DISK1 (in my case C:\BFBC2\__Installer\DISK1)

6) Double click EASetup.exe select language and install as normal, make sure to install Punkbuster when given the option if you plan to play online.

7) Go back two directories, to the main directory (in my case C:\BFBC2) select all -> right click -> cut

Browse to:
64bit OS: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2
32bit OS: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2

9) Right click -> paste.

10) Close EADM and then reopen it, it should now say "Ready to Play" next to the game, click the button and enjoy!

Just found that out, downloading now.

Anyone having a problem with Battlelog not showing the ping of a server? It's not showing for me at all, it's pretty much just a guess to find a server without crazy lag.
