BBC 1 Film 2010 with Claudia Winkleman

I haven't bothered with it at all. I have seriously no interest in hearing what she has to say about film.

Mark Kermode, I used to like way back in the late 90s when he ran world cinema seasons. Nowadays, he's such a self-important, self-satisfied tosspot that I'm surprised that just how far he's managed to fit himself into his own rectum hasn't caused some sort of dimensional rift.

I cannot begin to comprehend why they have chosen someone like her to present a critical appraisal of film.

I have never come across such weak and lacking reviews that adopt no stance on a film other than "I really liked it" or "I didn't like it".

Very frustrating to watch and must have reviewers, writers and critics alike pulling their hair out.

I kind of like the new show?

I think discussion is a much better way to sell a film or not to you, the old ross style show (and other programs) lacked this, I think that if someone liked it or not and why is far more useful than a 1-5 score that most reviews use

as for people saying kermode would be better, I really dont understand why? he takes pretentious to dizzying new heights, he almost refuses entirely to even watch mainstream films let alone review them, films are far too subjective to have that attitude

I have to agree, The program is now for noobs and insults the intelligence of the film fans.

A review show has to be more than " I really liked it"

They even referenced the critical reviews of the show themselves....mentioning the online community feedback of how lousy the show was...They need to listen and the BBC needs to sort it out.

Another awful thing was the fact they got that feminist comic on to "review" the Joan Rivers documentary and then she decided to talk about AVATAR as if we the audience actually cared about her opinion.

Its terrible:(

I have watched one of them so far and can already tell it's awful. Why the hell they put Winkleman on as the presenter, I don't know. But a ridiculous choice.

They should have got Kermode on there. Even when I disagree with some of his opinions on certain films they are still more entertaining and interesting to listen to (on the radio show).

Care to name some of these mainstream films that Kermode has 'refused' to watch or review?

Can't stand the woman, she is to presenting what Stephen Hawking is to Line Dancing.

Unfortunately my daughters are both addicted to Strictly Come Dancing which means I get to see her every week night at 6.30 - oh the joy! :(
