Thinking of dumping the crappy Sharp BD player I have, for one that loads a film in less time than it take to watch it !!!!...

Got some slight left field requirements.... don't need 3D, no plans to go that route any time soon..... But I do have a few SACD's I'd like to play again in full 5.1..... I lost that ability when I sold my Linn Unidisk 1.1.

Now nothing, is going to get even close to sound quality of the 1.1 on SACD's... perhaps the Marantz UD9004 would be the closest, but at 5K I think I'll pass on that one for now.... As the lounge isn't my primary music room.

I do want full analogue out, for HD sound, as I don't have an HDMI pre-amp.
So the on-board processing is very important, if isn't excellent, my Pre's DTS will sound better !!!!..... Trust me on that one....

So perhaps it will also need some speaker set up management built in ????
Though may Pre amp does allow channel leveling in the analogue domain, though not sure about time delay.... That my only be through the DSP that will obviously be bi-passed with a 5.1 in.

I see some players now offer streaming from a DNLA server..... As I run Twonky Media on my NAS for my music stream (Linn DS) ... I assume the BD player could also stream my music library..... problem is it's in FLAC format.... Which I doubting the player would decode, neither will the AV pre if it was fed by spdif.

Finally I also seen a a Denon where you can control over the LAN from an iPod etc.... which would be nice feature........

So far been browsing the Denon range and Marantz BDP4010 etc......
Budget....... around a grand ideally.... used and exdem is fine by me also....

Anything fits the above ?
