I don't think you have to be a Halo fan to find it funny. In saying that, it wasn't massively funny anyway.

However, seeing the Master Chief, who is meant to be a serious character and no stranger to war, in a bar seducing a woman with a plasma grenade is quite funny.

Not to mention the dancing towards the end.
