BEAM robotics

Hello all.

Has anyone ever built small robots using BEAM technology from scrapped electrical appliances?

It's something i'm just getting into and wondered if anyone else did it.

I'm not sure but apparently someone got the cooker to cook for him, the fridge to get him a beer and the computer to switch on by texting the appliances in question.

I called it bull**** tbh.

I was thinking less fancy. Simple walking bug type bots that follow light and avoid obstacles etc.
