Me thinks this discussion could run forever. All I can say is, yes British drivers driving standards (of all marques) have steadily deteriorated in the twenty odd years I've been driving. Indicators on motorways tend to be an optional extra, and the understanding that the two outside lanes are for overtaking only has been lost along the way.
But come to Cyprus and you will think British driving is excellent. Cypriots have a knack of having a prang without moving their vehicle. And holding a full blown conversation on a mobile phone whilst driving is considered mandatory.

Middle aged men in MPV's doing 110mph in the outside lane are worse..... I've never had so many similar people so close to my back end in the outside lane (when I'm already doing more than the speed limit overtaking cars in the middle lane.) Considering their top speed is rarely much more than they are already doing and their ability to brake quickly is fairly poor it always strikes me as retarded. These people are worse for being a phallus on the road than any one else imo.

It was nothing to do with the 6pot engine, decent build and RWD that none of the similar sheds in the price bracket offered.....

I find white van man is the worst. There always seems to be some big top heavy van going faster than anyone else, it's just retarded.
I have also noticed that since getting my Celica , which i am fully aware isnt that fast, i get hounded by middle aged men in their 2.0 TDI passats,golfs,A4's,A3's e.t.c. Its a bit pathetic.

Shame on folk for generalising. As it happens though, mostly accurate. If you drive a bmw well, you are the exception. Have a think on why this is.
When I drove a Nissan I was always letting people out, waving hello as I passed and generally adding to the well being of the driving public, now I have a BMW I am a totally different person, yesterday I caused a 200 car pile up on the M25 by mooning a mini bus full of nuns who were hogging the middle lane.
