Hello eveyone,

Using this router, even when I have specifically opened the ports up through the router page, the ports just do not open up. I have even used CLI commands to properly disable the firewall and intrusion detection.

The problem mainly concerns Company of Heroes, where I can not connect to 90% of players. In Modern Warfare 2 (which no longer uses dedicated servers), I get a "NAT Type: Strict" message - but this changes to open after a few minutes. Same with utorrent, which Ive set to use a specific port but it takes a few minutes before UPNP kicks into action.

However for Company of Heroes, it just stays closed.

Ideas?

Is windows firewall or another software firewall blocking the game?

I had major grief with that router on Be, constantly dropping my online game sessions, and then also freezing every three or so days.
I ended up getting a Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Modem Router and since then I have not had a single issue. The line is now stable 100% of the time, plus I now have full gigabit networking.

Still, quite annoyed that I had to upgrade the router when the ISP should provide hardware that works correctly.

Nope, firewalls aren't affecting this.

Hmm is there a way to make Bebox act ONLY as a modem, and I plug in a linksys router?

Edit: Ok so it turns out that fully disabling the router firewall and intrusion detection makes UPNP/NAt work. But I don't know how safe this is. All our computers use Avast. can anyone advice me on this?
