Hi all, now I know Makhani usualy comes in chicken only but I have some diced beef that needs using.

Never cooked anything apart from steak before, im guessing I just brown the beef for a few mins then stick t into the curry sauce? how long should I simmer it for? Is ten mins okay? or is it likely to be an hour?

What sort of diced beef. That will decide how long it needs cooking for.

I can't see it going together, is really sweet and creamy.

It's almost certainly going to be longer than 10 mins. 1-1.5 hours if it's any of usual kinds of diced beef. If it's diced rump/sirloin/etc then you can do it quicker though.

it wont work with beef, unless you marinated the beef in a sweet sauce overnight and cooked it separately then added it in at the end.

imo beef should never be used in an indian curry in the first place, lamb is what suits them best, but a "buttery" and "creamy" curry only really suits chicken.

Ended up making beef bhuna instead, browned off the beef then put it in a pyrex dish and covered with water for an hour and a little veg stock, then put the bhuna jar in for 5 mins, was lovely!

Stick to the murgh in a makani dish. It's horrendous you're even thinking of adding beef! Most Indians don't eat it (hence lack of beef recipes in Indian cuisine).

Lol beef.

Go to Sri Lanka for beef curries. Mate is Sri Lankan, he often cooks beef curry. He takes the mick out of Indians for not eating beef, so i take the mick out of him for not eating pork :p
