Was in a furniture store today and got haggling over a 2 leather sofas.
The salesmen came up with a figure and I said "Yeah fine, gonna have to go away and do a bit of measuring up as it was larger than the one I was originally going to go for." He then says that the discount would only apply today as they can give "priviliges" to customers on Sundays and it won't be available tomorrow (Monday.)
I was thinking "Yeah right!" took the above comment to mean "I won't be in tomorrow so won't get the commission so I need you to buy today" and left the store.
Am I wrong to assume the above?
