Been away for 6 weeks so what have i missed has the following games turned out good:
Killzone 2
Resident Evil 5
The Last Remnant
The House of the Dead: Overkill

Loved Killzone 2, many people are loving Resi 5 but not me yet :(

Last remnant hasn't been that well received and the house of the dead: overkill is reported as being a short but sweet over-the-top zombie-fest.

If you like JRPGs as your question about the last remnant indicates, have you tried Valkyria Chronicles? Absolutely fantastic.

killzone 2 = good apart from the nade and rocket spamming
Resident evil 5 - i have only play a bit of it, controls are a bit flaky but you get use to it after a while
The last remnant - didn't find as enjoyable as lost odyssey
House of the dead = fun!

Im going in town tomorrow to pick up Killzone 2 and resident evil 5.
Questions:

1) Im only gonna play RE5 co-op with my bro as we did on the demo, i that the best way to play it rather than sp?

2) How hard is killzone 2 sp, should i ram it up to the hardest setting, as most console fps games aint that hard.

3) Killzone 2 mp any good?

1) Yes, i would go as far as saying it should only be played in coop going by the demo. Lots of people say its near impossible on harder difficulties without a real partner instead of the AI

2) I played it through first time on the highest available difficulty and loved it, so yes, play it on the highest difficulty. Then once you've completed it fire it up on the newly unlocked Elite difficulty, a challenge but great fun.

3) Its good but has some balance issues regarding certain classes and weapons, certainly worth a punt.

from what i have heard killzone 2 is HARD on the highest difficulty setting, mp is fun if your playing with the right people i.e. people for the forum or friend. I can't comment on resident evil 5 sorry

on elite killzone 2 is indeed challenging, but i managed it and i am far from a gaming god. There's a couple of seemingly difficult sections, but if you approach them correctly they become a doddle. Most memorable of these is the tank at the end of the train section, it seemed daunting until i figured out how the enemies worked on that section (they would respawn on a short time delay until the tank was killed) so learnt to kill the tank very quickly to keep the number of enemies to a minimum.

In short, its hard, but not that hard.

Killzone 2 and resident evil 5 are on there way, hopefully here tomorrow or saturday at the latest:D
2 questions though:

1) killzone 2 on the hardest setting available, how long should that take to finish?

2)RE5 what setting should me and my brother play through this on, not trying to sound big headed but were both pretty good at these type of games.

1) Took me about 10 hours, its well worth replaying it on the unlocked difficulty after though

2) Don't know what its called but from what i hear the highest available setting is rather challenging. The reason for this is that you can upgrade guns and keep them upgraded for your next playthrough so the higher difficulties are designed with the assumption that you already have uber-upgraded weapons.
