It has nothing to do with my upbringing, I just happen to know a thing or two about this kind of thing. The OP really needs to either get rid of this device or report it to the police, it isn't dangerous but the transmitter inside could be compromising his own security. God knows whos hands that information is going into.

He needs to take action NOW.

That was a highly dangerous device. Had I not posted, that person wouldn't be around now. I saved his life.

Scuzi knows about things like this. He has been at one time or another involved in most paramilitary organisations. It's not the politics he's interested in, it's the gadgets.
Just after Christmas I had a parcel come to the door, wrapped up with a bow.. Dressed up as through it were a Christmas present!. Fortunately Scuzi had the experience to recommend I take it straight to the police station. PSP with inbuilt webcam?, pfft, not getting that past Scuzi.

You should take heed OP.
